The 2022 Hyundai Tucson is an everyday joy ride. This compact SUV feels anything but restrictive. The Tucson is the ideal SUV. The 2022 Tucson comes in several tirms the SE, SEL, XRT, N Line, and Limited trim levels.

The SE, SEL, XRT, N-Line, and Limited trims all come standard with a 2.5 Liter Inline 4-cylinder engine, Front-Wheel Drive, and 8-speed automatic transmission. The engine has an output of 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. This engine and transmission combination gives the Hyundai Tucson a fuel efficiency profile of 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway for a combined 29 average miles per gallon.
HTRAC All-Wheel Drive is an option for each of these trims. The change in transmission does change the fuel efficiency to 24 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for a combined 26 mpg.

The 2022 Tucson also comes in Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid models. The SEL and Limited trims are available as 2022 Tuscon Plug-in Hybrid models. The Tucson Plug-in has an all-wheel drive, a 6-speed automatic transmission, and an all-electric range of 33 and a miles per gallon equivalent range of 80 miles. The Plug-in models have a combined horsepower of 261 and 258 lb-ft of torque. The Plug-in is a dual-engine system including a 1.6-liter inline 4-cylinder turbo combustion engine and a 13.8kWh battery.

The 2022 Tucson Hybrid has three trim levels; the Blue, SEL Convenience, and Limited. All three have a 1.6-liter In-line 4-cylinder Turbo engine, 6-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive combination that produces 180 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
