Remember what summer was like when you were a kid? It seems like you spent all of your time outside, enjoying the warm weather and spending time with your friends. But these days, kids are on their screens more and more. It may seem like they don’t even want to get out of the house. However, you know that getting outside and being active is good for them. Therefore, if you want them to have something fun to do all summer long, you may consider sending them to one of these summer camps. Nova Parks offers a wide array of programs for children, and your kids are going to have a great time when they participate. Check out some of your options.

Camp Overlook

If your kids love learning all about the natural world, they are going to have a blast at Camp Overlook. This camp serves children who are going into grades K through 10 the following year, so there’s space for just about everyone. However, there are different age groups, so you can be sure that the activities will be age-appropriate for your child. With a variety of unique activities and annual traditions, your kids are going to love going to this camp at the Potomac Overlook Regional Park.

Camp Grow

Do you have a little one with a green thumb? Then you absolutely have to sign them up for Camp Grow. This camp at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens teaches kids all about growing plants through a wide range of fun and educational activities. It’s for children who are entering kindergarten through eighth grade the following year, but again, it’s broken up into separate age groups.

They will teach kids all about cooperation, teamwork, and other valuable skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. These camps are only for kids entering grades 3 through 6 the following year, so keep that in mind.

No matter which of these camps you choose for your kids, you know they are going to have a great time. But have you thought about how you’re going to get them there?
