Elantra’s energy-saving full LED headlights shine brighter and farther with greater precision. Even more, you won’t have to strain when driving at night. The cooler tone from LEDs makes it easier on your eyes.
Elantra senses when you and your Proximity Key are near and opens the trunk automatically. So loading up is fast and easy when your hands are full.
When you see better, you drive safer. Elantra’s available 7-inch display audio with Apple CarPlay® or Android Auto™ simplifies access to apps and entertainment via touchscreen, so you can focus more on driving. Rear View Monitor with parking guidance helps you back up and park, too.
Charge your phone without even thinking about it. With no wires or plugs to bother with, you can charge your Qi-compatible device by simply placing it on the available charging pad.
Our vehicles surround you and your passengers with a comprehensive bundle of advanced safety and convenience features. From cameras to ultrasonic sensors to radars, our sophisticated network of sensors acts as extra sets of eyes when you drive or park. You call it peace of mind. We call it Hyundai SmartSense.
Helps you back out of a parking space or driveway by detecting traffic coming from either side of the rear of your vehicle and provides an audible warning.
The moment it detects a slowing or stopped vehicle or a pedestrian in your path, it warns you of a potential collision. If you don't stop in time, the system will automatically apply emergency braking to help avoid or reduce the severity of a collision.
Continuously monitors your driving patterns to detect drowsy or inattentive driving. Once detected, it alerts the driver with a sound cue coupled with a warning message on the instrument panel.
This system notifies you with a visual alert when its radars detect a vehicle in the driver's blind spot area. If you try to change lanes in this situation, an audio warning will sound.
This intelligent system warns you through audio and visual cues if your vehicle drifts out of its driving lane without signaling. If necessary, it will gently apply corrective steering assistance to keep you inside the lane.
This thoughtful system shares your safety with others. It automatically senses oncoming traffic and dims your high beam headlights.
While traveling at a speed set by you, it uses radar to maintain a safe distance from the car ahead. If your Hyundai comes to a complete stop, the cruise control automatically reactivates within 3 seconds.
This pioneering innovation prevents your passengers from stepping onto the road when its radar detects a vehicle approaching from behind. If necessary, it will override attempts to deactivate the Electronic Child Safety Lock until it's safe for your child to open the door.

A Brief History of the Hyundai Elantra
The first generation Hyundai Elantra was introduced in 1990 and stayed in production until 1995. The Elantra first appeared in the United States for the 1992 model year. It first debuted as a four-door compact car featuring Mitsubishi engine power. The second generation Elantra appeared in 1995 as a 1996 model. In addition to the sedan body style, this version was now available as a wagon.
From 2000 to 2006, the third generation of the Hyundai Elantra saw some more changes and for 2001, the Elantra sported an all-new look with a 2001 Elantra GT hatchback replacing the wagon version of the vehicle. The fourth generation appeared only for the 2007 model year with Hyundai replacing the Elantra GT with the Elantra Touring.
As for the fifth generation of the Hyundai Elantra which appeared in 2011, there were several dramatic changes. The style of the exterior changed, as well as a much-improved interior. In 2012, the Elantra developed a sophisticated compact sedan appearance and came with a revised powertrain. With each new generation, the Hyundai Elantra has continued to improve.
