What’s New in the 2020 Hyundai Palisade?
As soon as you open the door, you’ll notice the striking design of the Palisade’s interior. Conforming and supportive seats hold up to eight occupants, and all will have plenty of legroom. Hyundai debuted their latest three-row SUV at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, and drivers have enthusiastically awaited its 2019 release. Designed to fill a role vacated by the large Santa Fe XL, The Palisade sets itself apart from the XL with its expanded size and new technology, delivering more options than ever before in a spacious cabin.
When the Santa Fe arrived in 2001, it served as Hyundai’s inaugural SUV, competing with Ford’s new Escape. Its affordable price and substantial capability made the Hyundai an instant hit in the U.S., and Hyundai spent the next 18 years developing different variations to keep up with changing driver needs. The longer Santa Fe XL proved to be a hit among families with its generous interior space and safety considerations. While the mainline Santa Fe continues with a new generation that started in 2019, the XL bowed out to make way for Hyundai’s entirely reimagined take on a large SUV.
