Hyundai is hitting new strides since the release of the successful IONIQ 5 and aiming high with the brand new Hyundai Ioniq 6. Inside the sleek coupe-like silhouette, you’ll find the most cutting-edge technology and safety innovations that a sedan has to offer.
Let your mind roam without worrying about the battery capable of ultra-fast charging, thanks to the Electric Global Modular Platform created exclusively for the IONIQ family. With the IONIQ 6, the future has arrived early.
A new form of electricity. Coming 2023.
You can expect lounge-like comfort in all recent Ioniq models so far, and the 6 is no exception when it comes to luxurious comfort. Hyundai has purposefully included a flat floor to aid the feeling of spaciousness inside with ambient lighting to provide some color. Since the appearance of the vehicle is still a conventional four-door sedan, it will be a five-seater with a rear bench seat.
In terms of interior technology, you can expect screens as an alternative to physical buttons to dominate the dashboard in this futuristic-looking cabin. A 12.0-inch touchscreen is available above the center console, while a digital instrument cluster of the same size rests in front of the driver. Variable ambient lighting illuminates the driving experience with light bouncing off the surface of the door panels so that you can’t see the light source.
The Ioniq 6 will supply well over 300 miles of driving range with the larger 77.4-kWh battery pack potentially reaching close to 400 miles. The standard battery on the single-motor car has a smaller 55.0-kWh capacity. All batteries and models are equipped with the same optionally ultra-fast charging so it is important for you to take that into account when making a decision on which is right for you.
Overall the Ioniq 6 is very similar to the Ioniq 5 when it comes to packing the same electric motor and battery pack options The rear-drive model of the Ioniq 6 will produce 225 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, and offer a choice of a 58-kWh or 77.4-kWh battery pack. With that being said the AWD variant should have a total output of 320 hp and 446 lb-ft of torque thanks to the support of an additional front motor and the bigger battery.
